Monday morning we just hung out and played. MaKenna and Major enjoyed riding on daddy's horse that he made. Jake and Cam enjoyed computer and video games that they rarely get to play.
I found out that ThunderAlley gives half price bowling on Monday afternoons...so around 3 we headed out to Elkhorn for an afternoon of bowling. This is a new alley. Very nice. If you haven't been there you have to head out there. Honestly it would make for a great date night. It has two different sets of bowling alleys...one for cosmic bowling and one for regular, it has laser tag, an arcade, and a really neat go cart track. It also has a nice restaurant and bar. Fun date night! Anyway, MaKenna and Jake used bumpers. When it got to their name on the screen the bumpers would automatically go up, then back down for Cam and I. Very high tech! :-) Below is MaKenna. She had a hard time. The ball was too heavy she said. She is a leftie if you can't tell and used both hands to throw it down the alley. It usually went about 1 mph...IF THAT...and it took a good couple of minutes of us watching it go down the alley before it actually hit anything. But it was great suspense for MaKenna and she loved it!
Jake was a good sport. Though at first he didn't want bumpers. He said it takes the fun out of bowling. Then he realized that he needed bumpers so we had them add his name to the bumper list. Once he had bumpers he started having fun! He thought the ball was way too heavy also, but he did well. He actually finished 2nd in one game!
Cam did really well. I was impressed. He did have a funny moment though! He threw his arm back to get ready to bowl, and the ball slipped right out of his hand and started rolling towards us. Very funny moment! He finished 2nd in one game too!
Then since everything was half priced that day, I decided to let them do lazer tag. MaKenna had never done lazer tag before, so I thought she would enjoy it! The vest swam on her, but other than that she did pretty well! I don't know what is going on with Jake's face in this picture, and yes, I know MaKenna needs a haircut.
