Friday night BMX race

It was a COOOOLLLLLDDDDD night....some of us only made it half the night, the others made it the whole time. Kudos to them! Dad came with us....luckily he drove seperately so that he could eventually take Major and I home. We were in it for the long haul...registration started at 6:30, the first race was at 7. Well...as the sun went down it got colder, and colder and coooollllddddeeeerrrr. By 8 they STILL hadn't started the first race. They were very unorganized. We waited...and waited...and waited. MaKenna rode around....Cam waited patiently.....Jake waited...impatiently....Finally, the races started at 8:30 ish. They each had 3 races. Major, Dad and I stayed through each of their first races....then we left, Major was cold and VERY grumpy as it was WELL past his bedtime. Below is Cam coming in second. He came in second in each of his 3 races and qualified for the MAIN event....which is the BIG race. He came in second in that one as well.

Jake didn't fare quite as well. He came in last in all of his motos. Poor kid. It isn't his speed...it is his bike. It is very heavy and just not a good racing bike. He was bummed...but we tried to encourage him. MaKenna didn't come home with me because she was waiting for HER event...which is normally held right before the MAIN event. But...due to the fact that they started WWAAAYYY late, they didn't do her event. Poor thing. She was also very bummed. Maybe this week!
