Splash Away With The Little Tikes Anchors Away Pirate Ship Water Play Table Review And Giveaway
I can't believe how quickly it got hot here. We're now enjoying 80-90 degree weather and we all just want to be outside. We are always in search of great toys to keep the kids active outside.Little Tikes has a huge selection of outdoor and indoor toys. They have been manufacturing kids toys in Hudson, Ohio since 1970. As their website states, Little Tikes is committed to making safe, quality, durable fun toys that encourage discovery and learning through active, creative, and social play. Little Tikes® urges children to play outdoors and "Get Up and Grow"!Little Tikes sent us the Anchors Away Pirate Ship.Ahoy matey! Get ready for a water-time adventure with the Anchors Away Pirate Ship! Two fun characters, a squirting shark and a constant running water fountain make sure that you will have hours of fun on the high seas. This is the box that the ship comes in. As you can see, it is meant for children 2-6 years old, but I am confident that Isabella will be having as much fun with it this summer as Evan. She's almost tall enough now, but needs to be able to stand on her own. These are the pieces that it came in.I put it together by myself(with a lot of help from my 2 year old and 8 month old) and I had it done within 30 minutes. The only part that I wasn't expecting was having to drill these screws into the legs. It was super easy after I found the drill. They have an instructional video that shows how to assemble it step by step. The mast in the center is actually a pump that has the water flowing continuously down from it. It requires 4 C batteries that are not included. It simply sucks the water up and it falls over the spinners to keep them moving. The button to turn the pump on is located under the red spinners next to where the batteries go in.Evan can easily turn it on by himself and the pump automatically cuts off after a few minutes. You can also see where the water is sucked up from in this picture. There are several activities on this water table. Evan was intrigued with the cannon that shoots water. It was a little hard for him to push the button at first, but he was soon able to do it without my help. There are two of these little cups. They have two different hole patterns on the bottom so that water can flow out of them. There is a handle so that you can attach them to the side of ship when they're not being used.He loved the bucket that sits on the end of the ship. He kept watering everything(including himself) with it. Isabella had a blast with the two pirate figures and the shark. As you can tell from these pictures, the Anchors Away Water Table is a huge hit at our house. I never knew how much fun a water table could be. We've played with it almost every day for the past week and that is the first thing Evan wants me to set up when we go outside. Here is a short video showing you just a little of the fun that is possible with this water table.
