Part One...the drive....

The drive was uneventful as usual. Thankfully we made it to Flagstaff safe and sound. We left Friday night around 6 or so. We went out to say "Goodbye" to Peanut (dad and Lisa took care of her for the two weeks we were gone), and off we went. Jeff drove first, as he always does, until after dark. Then I took over. The kids did good watching their DVD's, or playing their Nintendo DS's or listening to their MP3 players....wow...what did we do when we were kids and had to travel long distances by car? I remember we used to play a lot of travel games, read books, talked, listened to music on the RADIO, and slept. Our kids now a days are so full of technological items that we hardly say two words to them for the whole trip! Now...Jeff and I do get to talk...that is nice, because it never seems like we ever have time to talk anymore....but once you are in a car for 20 hours or so...there is plenty of time to talk...when the other is not sleeping of course. So...around midnight I took over. We were just outside Denver. I drove to Las Vegas, New Mexico...then Jeff drove to Albuquerque and I drove to Arizona City, Arizona...then he drove into Flagstaff. It was about half and half on drive time, so it worked out very nicely this time...at least on the way TO Flagstaff. Anyway...here is Major and MaKenna.....Major is getting sleepy....MaKenna is still excited to be in the car...Cam is in the background.

Then...only a few miles later......
